Multimedia companies, international retailers and well-known news sources are all talking about how CBD could be the next breakthrough market the health industry has ever seen

CBD is gaining attention everywhere for its many, many health benefits. CBD is treating chronic pain, anxiety and skin conditions. It is reducing seizures in people who have epilepsy, and it is giving individuals their lives back in forms of focus, energy and an overall feeling of improved health and wellbeing.

We thought we would take the time to show you just how valuable CBD is proving to be through the positive comments and reviews from heavy-hitting media companies, celebrities and other big-timers supporting a market that is making so many people’s lives more fulfilling.

8 Elite Supporters of CBD Treatment

  1. Forbes: Forbes has spoken on CBD’s behalf multiple times over the last year, with headlines including “Can CBD Replace Antidepressants?” and “The Right Way to Introduce CBD to Your Pets.” Journalist of the wildly popular tech and innovation publication have been exploring the cannabis compound’s multifaceted therapeutic effects, conducting interviews with well-known researchers, talking about the probable legalization of hemp as it pertains to the Farm Bill, and sharing success stories of folks who have found relief from their ailments by taking CBD.
  2. Entrepreneur: Entrepreneur, the go-to business publication for aspiring and veteran business owners, has gone so far as to provide its wide readership with advice on “How to Start and Market Your CBD Company,” and explaining the market research on “The Billion Dollar Business of CBD.” They have also written hard news articles on things to know before taking CBD, providing the cannabinoid’s common health benefits. They have spoken on multiple accounts, too, on how “The Hemp Business is Booming,” as well as reviewing big consumer product companies successfully selling CBD products.
  3. GQ: GQ, or Gentleman’s Quarterly, the insanely successful publication covering everything from fashion, style and music to sports, technology and culture for men, has talked about CBD many times, discussing specifics on “The Best Products for Soothing Your Body and Mind,” “Can Using This Cannabis Compound Make You A Better Athlete?” and “Our Favorite New Workplace Productivity Hack: (Non-Psychoactive) Drugs.” It has delved into the sports world on the topic of CBD, talking about Al Harrington, former NBA player, wanting to build a cannabis empire.
  4. GOOP & Gwyneth Paltrow: If you have been following Gwyneth and her cult-like lifestyle brand, GOOP, you probably know she (and her loyal followers) are huge fans of the luxury cannabis market. The famous actress turned wildly successful business woman has hosted many luxury wellness events on the East and West coasts, most of them including speaker panels and products based around CBD and the cannabis industry. Talking about the future of cannabis at one of her events, Gwyneth said, “I love this subject. It really has the potential to shift old patterns of thought and change lives, and I feel like we really could be on the precipice of something a lot bigger than we realize, scientifically.”
  5. Amazon: Amazon, the online retailer quite literally taking over the world through founder Jeff Bezos’s genius creativity and innovation practices, sells thousands of different hemp oil products. They also sell CBD books, CBD patient guides and CBD dog treats and hemp creams. It’s only a matter of time before Amazon welcomes the full line of CBD products.
  6. Walmart: The family-friendly shopping marketplace known for that big yellow smiley face and rollback savings signs is now toying with the idea of selling CBD products. The world’s largest retailer already sells hemp seed oil, hemp seed snacks, hemp oil softgels and hemp protein powder. Walmart Canada has done some preliminary fact-finding on the CBD market, with the company’s spokeswoman stating in recent article that, “We see this as a potential platform” to sell CBD.
  7. Coca Cola: Coca-Cola is also eying the cannabis industry, taking into serious consideration creating a CBD-infused beverage line. A Coca-Cola spokesman remarked on the possible collaboration that, “We are closely watching the growth on non-psychoactive CBD as an ingredient in functional wellness beverages around the world.”

Big 3 Sports League Permits Use of CBD

The BIG3 reported at the end of June that players in the 3-on-the-3 league of former NBA players are now allowed to use CBD for pain management and recovery, making the BIG3 the first U.S. professional sports league to openly allow CBD use.

For all of the sport-deficient folks, the BIG3 is a 3-on-3 basketball league which features mostly retired NBA players including some of the basketball world’s most recognizable all-stars, hall of famers and word champions.

It was founded by infamous rapper and entertainer O’Shea Jackson Sr., better known as Ice Cube, and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz. The second season of the league began a few weeks ago in Houston, and features players like Amare Stoudemire, Baron Davis, and former Denver Nuggets Kenyon Martin and Nate Robinson.

And if you haven’t gotten the skinny on what CBD, or cannabidiol, is, here is a brief rundown: CBD is one of over 100 chemical compounds, or cannabinoids, found in the cannabis plant helping people of all ages and health conditions with everything from pain, anxiety, inflammation, gut health, mood improvement, and so much more. The compound has been medically proven to diminish pain, limit muscle soreness and tightness, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, making it an ideal supplement for athletes to incorporate into their daily routines.

CBD For The (Sports) Win

The decision for the BIG3 Sports League to permit CBD use was primarily based around the fact that it is being taken to support the health of the pro players, more specifically assisting in the pain management and recovery process of sports-related injuries.

Knowing the powerful cannabinoid is capable of significantly reducing pain and helps speed up the recovery process is all the more reason to get CBD into the hands of these athletic professionals.

The final say was delivered shortly after CBD was removed from the World Anti-Doping Agency’s banned substances list earlier this year, which isn’t all that surprising given that half the states in America do allow medical marijuana, which, to be clear, is completely separate from CBD.

Furthermore, several states (9, plus Washington D.C. to be exact) including Colorado, Washington, California and Alaska, have legalized marijuana for recreational use. Aka no doctor’s note necessary in those areas.

A Little CBD/Pro Athlete Background

Because a slew of NFL players have abused pain-relieving opioids and anti-inflammatory drugs like Toradol for dozens of years, many of them believe CBD, which is not addictive in the least, would offer a much healthier – not to mention non-damaging – alternative for dealing with pain caused from playing sports and getting banged up on the reg.

Both former and current NFL players have called for the legalization of marijuana in their league over the past several years, most likely due to the plant’s therapeutic properties known to erase nerves (pre-game jitters, in this case) and rid muscle soreness and body aches.

But again, CBD is not the same thing as marijuana – it is an essential oil extracted from the cannabis plant and contains less than 0.3 percent THC – the cannabinoid responsible for getting people high. Translation: CBD will not and can not get users high. It is more and more being categorized as a health and wellness supplement meant to improve overall well-being.

Recently, former Giants defensive end Leonard Marshall discussed his using CBD daily to cope with his symptoms of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, more commonly known as CTE, the degenerative brain disease linked with repeated trauma to the head. Marshall shared his struggles in 2016 with the Daily News as part of a three-part series on marijuana and sports, stating, “My quality of life has improved because of (CBD).”

This is great news for both the CBD industry and the sports world. Stay tuned to see where the in-demand cannabinoid will show up next and whether other major league sports organizations will follow suit.

Buying CBD Online vs In-Store

You might think purchasing your CBD oil in a street shop is more credible than buying CBD online. But the opposite may be your safer option.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is continuing to make headlines in the wellness world, the medical world and most recently, the sports world, for its multifaceted functions treating pain and anxiety, inflammation, mood disorders, degenerative diseases and so much more.

And as is always the case with a big boom in the consumer market, more popularity = more demand = the increased probability of brands and stores selling products that are not good quality CBD, and in some cases, products with no CBD at all.

This is not to scare you, but inform you of your purchasing options built on the foundation of trust, safety, credibility, and, of course, effectiveness.

For this reason, we are giving you the hard-hitting reasons why getting your CBD products online may be the better option compared to getting them by way of general health food store.

Why is buying online safer?

Unless you are in a specialty health food store or CBD shop – which is not the average experience – buying CBD online seems to outweigh buying CBD in-store, especially if you are new to CBD and don’t know much about it.

Online stores are obligated to have the ingredients and production practices stated clearly in a way consumers can easily find the information on the website and fully understand. When you are online, you can take your time to read and educate yourself on the product and company, as well as sift through reviews and testimonials from previous customers.

When you buy online, you can expect bountiful buying options, transparency about inventory and the ability to research prices and customer reviews, as well as get the scoop on promotional offers.

Here, we break down the pros and cons of both online and in-store purchasing experiences.

Pros of Buying Online

  • Ability to take your time reading, researching and learning about the product
  • Ability to shop and compare with other retailers on price point and quality
  • Huge variety of products at your fingertips
  • More discounts and promotions available

Cons of Buying Online

  • Not being able to physically see, smell or touch what you are getting
  • Difficulty finding a trusted source. Luckily, you have already found a credible online retailer – Daintri!

Pros of Buying In-Store

  • Immediacy / instant gratification. No waiting on shipping
  • Ability to see, smell and touch the product you are buying

Cons of Buying In-Store

  • Only open set hours
  • Driving, parking, waiting in line and other general annoyances that come with errand-running
  • Limited knowledge and information: A salesperson who may or may not be educated on CBD could just be trying to make a sale, not caring about the integrity of the product
  • Higher prices due to overhead
  • Hard to find stores that sell CBD

Another thing: Depending on who you are and what kind of mood you’re in, the human interaction aspect of buying in-store could either be a pro or a con.

On the online side, a lot of people like to support small businesses (looking at you millennials!). Keeping in mind that CBD is a new and rising product, buying online serves a greater purpose in the supporting-the-little-guy regard, as many online CBD retailers (like Daintri!) are startups.

Buying CBD products both online and in-store comes with their share of perks. While each channel brings unique value to the customer, buying online, in most cases, does fare safer than buying in-store because websites are required by law to provide full disclosure to the customer on product quality and ingredients, as well as manufacturing and production processes.

We are not knocking physical storefronts or in-person interaction. We like people and support everyone trying to make the world a better place with CBD!

It’s our job to provide truthful and accurate information in the realm of CBD as it pertains to health, which is precisely what we are doing with this post and every other post for that matter.

If you have questions about buying online, please let us know!

Fibromyalgia & CBD

CBD, or cannabidiol, is the therapeutic compound derived from the hemp strain of the cannabis plant. Research has proven CBD to be a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, providing consumers with relief for a wide variety of health conditions and symptoms.

Recently, CBD has been gaining praise for its ability to treat chronic pain and other pain related symptoms. The most common cause of physical pain in the body is from inflammation, that may cause redness, soreness, and throbbing in particular areas. Because CBD is such an anti-inflammatory powerhouse, the cannabinoid is able to relieve many different types of pain, including pain caused by fibromyalgia.

What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder that causes musculoskeletal pain in addition to fatigue and cognitive issues. The health condition is often accompanied by altered memory, mood, and sore and tender body parts. This chronic pain can occur all over the body, or can even migrate to certain areas depending on the severity. Warning signs of chronic pain may include tenderness in the back, legs, arms, or other areas of the body.

While fibromyalgia’s cause is unknown, it has the tendency to occur in older individuals, typically above the age of 45. Scientists and researchers suggest that it could be the result of excessive muscle use, leading to the gradual wear and tear on joints and bones over time. However, this isn’t completely confirmed yet and more research is needed to know the true causation for the disease.

Treatment for fibromyalgia typically include various medications provided by healthcare providers and doctors. Other treatment may include talk therapy, and stress reduction techniques. One or a combination of these treatments may help control these painfully frustrating symptoms, but the condition itself has no known cure.

How Can CBD Help Fibromyalgia?

CBD has the healing potential to treat the common symptoms of fibromyalgia, including cognitive function, memory loss, mood swings, anxiety, and fatigue. It has the ability to significantly help the many individuals that experience debilitating pain caused by fibromyalgia.

All of this is made possible through CBD’s indirect interaction with the human body’s Endocannabinoid System, or ECS. The ECS is the main regulatory system in your body that is responsible for promoting and maintaining homeostasis (or optimal balance) within the body.

The cannabinoid interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors within the Endocannabinoid system to provide relief for a variety of symptoms and conditions.

How CBD Dramatically Increases the Survival Rate of Cancer Patients

According to a new study spotlighting the potential for human cancer treatment, mice with pancreatic cancer treated with a combination of CBD and chemotherapy survived nearly three times longer than those treated with chemotherapy alone.

CBD, more formally regarded as cannabidiol, the non-intoxicating compound found in the cannabis plant, has already been shown to improve common side effects of chemotherapy like nausea and vomiting.

The latest results of taking CBD are showing more justification for testing in human cancer patients building on prior animal research that has uncovered possible/probable anti-cancer properties that CBD may possess.

The Rundown

CBD has been approved for use in clinics in the United Kingdom (UK), meaning medical professionals and scientific researchers may test the effects of the therapeutic compound in human clinical trials there.

As for the United States, progress is well underway, as the FDA just approved the first CBD-based medication to treat severe forms of epilepsy in children.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most hard-to-treat cancers. It is among the deadliest forms of cancer in the world, in terms of overall cancer survival rates. According to the American Cancer Society, patients with a one-year survival rate make up 20 percent of pancreatic cancer patients, while the five-year survival rate is just below 7 percent. It is the 12th most common cancer globally.

Considering treatment of the deadly cancer, the life expectancy for those with pancreatic cancer has barely changed in the last 40 years because there are very few treatments available. This statement was reported by Dr. Marco Falasca, lead researcher from Queen Mary University of London, in a recent press statement, who added that “the discovery of new treatments and therapeutic strategies is urgently needed.”

Getting back to the actual animal study, the results – which again – concluded that the survival rate of mice with pancreatic cancer had tripled after being treated with a combination of CBD and chemotherapy – constitute the dire need of continued research of CBD in the medical department. Medical advances, in something as serious of a matter of life and death, are on the horizon, all thanks to the plant-based cannabinoid, CBD.

The Facts From the Study:

  • The data from the CBD study in mice indicated inhibition of pancreatic cancer cell growth in cell culture by CBD.
  • The mice susceptible to pancreatic cancer given the CBD + chemotherapy treatment prolonged survival 3x the amount as mice given chemotherapy treatment without CBD.

To date, and as we continue to see progressions of the healing compound on humans, studies have linked CBD to significantly reducing pain and anxiety, easing migraine symptoms, improving stroke recovery and decreasing seizure severity and frequency.

Stay tuned to see if and when this study will be replicated in humans.

FDA Approves first Cannabis Medication: Epidiolex

The good news just keeps coming in the intriguing world of CBD, and we are not at all complaining.

During the week of June 23, 2018, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a cannabis-based drug for the first time in history, giving the green light to patients suffering from epilepsy to use an oral CBD solution called Epidiolex, for the treatment of two rare forms of epilepsy – Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome – in patients aged 2 and older.

Epidiolex is the first drug to have achieved the high standards and rigorous criteria the FDA needed to see evidenced before approving any cannabis-derived drug for medical therapy, giving the parents of children with these very unfortunate and debilitating conditions, a new hopeful and positive outlook for their kids’ futures.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is the non-psychoactive healing agent found in the cannabis plant helping common conditions like pain and anxiety, inflammation, focus and improvement in mood, as well as more severe conditions like epilepsy.

Here, we give you the scoop on the first ever CBD medication approved by the FDA.

What Epidiolex is Treating

The two conditions this new drug will treat – Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome – are both rare and severe types of childhood-onset epilepsy.

To provide a better understanding of the conditions, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome usually starts in children between the ages of 3 and 5. It is characterized by frequent seizures, many of which are tonic, meaning there is a sudden stiffening of the muscles in the limbs and other parts of the child’s body.

Almost all of the children diagnosed with this condition also develop intellectual disabilities, with most of them furthermore requiring assistance with basic daily activities like eating and playing.

The other type of childhood-onset epilepsy, Dravet syndrome, appears in the first year of infancy, beginning with febrile seizures, when an infant or child’s body temperature rises due to infection or inflammation of some sort, causing a seizure or convulsion.

In addition to febrile seizures, other types of seizures are experienced as Dravet syndrome advances. Some children also develop something called “status epilepticus,” where they experience continuous seizures that require emergency intervention. If this happens, patients with this syndrome develop poor language ability, impaired motor skills, hyperactivity and may find it difficult to relate to others as they get older.

All in all, these difficult-to-control seizures that babies and children experience have a profound impact on their quality of life, making it challenging for both the child and parent to live a normal life.

Thanks to CBD-based Epidiolex, these seizures should be significantly reduced and therefore, enhance the quality of life for the children affected.

How this CBD Medication is Helping

FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb reported in an official statement that: “It was based on well-controlled clinical trials evaluating the use of this compound in the treatment of a specific condition,” referring to the decision to approve Epidiolex.

According to Dr. Gottlieb, Epidiolex will provide a significant and needed improvement in the therapeutic approach to caring for people with Lennox-Gastaut and Dravet syndrome patients.

The CBD-based medication was tested in three randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials, revealing the drug is indeed effective in reducing the frequency of seizures in children with these two types of syndromes.

Dr. Gottlieb stated the approval of the medicine demonstrates the FDA’s commitment to ensuring any new therapies from marijuana and its constituents are “safe, effective and manufactured to a high and consistent quality.”

10 Benefits of CBD for Healthy People

I’m super healthy, can CBD still help me?

If you perceive yourself to be the self-proclaimed wellness enthusiast that all of the health magazines are saying you are, you may be asking yourself, “Will CBD even help me?”

It’s a fair question, and one we can personally attest to. As a team dedicated to healthy eating, daily exercise and regular meditation sessions, we definitely view ourselves as overall healthy beings – in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual stamina – yet we are always looking for ways to enhance our wellbeing.

So it makes sense we all love CBD, the fascinatingly therapeutic cannabinoid in which consumers far and wide are taking to improve their overall health and wellbeing, incorporating into their daily routines to ease their pain, anxiety, inflammation, addiction, symptoms of depression, seizures and a laundry list of ailments more.

The question still stands, then:

Can CBD help me if nothing is wrong?

The answer is yes. CBD can only help you, no matter who is taking it and what they are taking it for. The compound works (like magic, really) by interacting with the human Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is responsible for promoting and maintaining homeostasis within the body.

The ECS regulates everything in our bodies from sleep, mood, memory and learning to digestion, immune function, neural development and metabolism. This is the reason CBD is able to help so many differing causes and symptoms that we experience daily.

Even if you are in the best shape of your life, have no physical ailments and live a generally low-stress life, you can still benefit from CBD.

Because you are a health superstar, though, you might not feel the effects from CBD come on as strongly as your anxious friend. Taking CBD for anxiety or anxiousness, for example, that person will most likely feel the compound’s calming and relaxing effects within minutes of taking it, whereas someone who isn’t experiencing any sort of pain or worry (you healthy dog, you) may not feel as strong of an effect, or even an effect at all. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t working. It just means your body is in great health, and CBD is working as a preventative measure rather than fixing an issue.

Read on to see how CBD can benefit the ultra health conscious.

10 ways CBD can benefit healthy people

The coolest thing about CBD is that it can help with literally anything as it pertains to common aches and pains of everyday life. From acne to mood disorders to upping your workout stamina, taking CBD for preventative measures is all the rage right now (and may be forever).

  1. Sleep: People have been taking (or rather, smoking) cannabis for years and years as a means to get a good night’s rest. People are replacing weed (the stuff laden with THC, the cannabinoid that gets people high) with CBD, noting slipping 2-3 drops underneath their tongues or taking a few puffs from their CBD vape pens to be just as effective as weed, also providing them with additional benefits as they slumber including taming inflammation and resetting their digestive systems.
  2. Skincare: Odds are, you’ve got pretty skin considering leading an optimally healthy lifestyle (aka drinking loads of water, eating organic and never missing a spin or yoga class) usually equates to clear skin. However, just because you’re a health fanatic doesn’t mean you’re protected from breakouts, rashes or wrinkles. CBD-infused skincare products are seriously the best. They come in cleansers, scrubs, moisturizers, lip balms and more, and are said to be extremely effective in maintaining that healthy, flawless skin everyone wants. CBD for skincare is privy to be the next big thing in wellness. You would be doing yourself a favor by trying it out.
  3. Anxiety & Stress: Even if you aren’t the type of person to get worked up about things or you lead an amazing life where stress rarely lurks, (lucky) feelings of anxiety and stress are bound to happen to anyone. For times when those unexpected feelings of angst or worry come on, you can be prepared to handle the symptoms with CBD. A lot of people love CBD oil, stating it gets into their bloodstreams the fastest when they feel anxiety coming on. Others prefer vapes, reporting focusing on their breathing helps. And other individuals take CBD capsules, typically as an everyday wellness supplement, as CBD in pill form is a slower, more gradual way of keeping feelings of anxiety and stress at bay.
  4. Pain/Inflammation: Whether it’s joint pain from running, gut inflammation from eating something spicy, or migraine pain, even the healthiest of people experience some sort of pain and inflammation from time to time. Because CBD is most famously known for being a powerful anti-inflammatory agent and antioxidant, people experiencing both chronic and mild pain/inflammation have complimented CBD for being a life-changing medication. If it’s back, shoulder or joint pain you’re experiencing, you can go straight to the source with CBD cream, which targets the inflamed area directly. If it’s internal inflammation you’re experiencing, ingesting CBD could work, and so could rubbing CBD lotion on your abdomen. The cannabinoid works from the inside out, as well as the outside in. We told you it’s magic!
  5. Energy: Coffee not doing the trick when you need it to? Replace your morning cup of Joe with CBD. Or better yet, stir it in with your coffee to create a heightened sense of awareness and focus, sans the jitters. CBD lattes have been popping up in various cafes across the U.S., but you can very well make your own. Here’s a guide on how to make a CBD latte that is delicious, nutritious, and filled with the healing benefits you deserve.
  6. Travel: If you get nervous to fly or experience motion sickness in the car, in the air or any other form of transportation, CBD could be your (nauseating) saving grace. CBD contains anti-nauseating properties, making it ideal for those with sensitive stomachs or digestive issues, and thus, ideal for travelers on the go. You already know CBD helps with anxiety, which is a common symptom for people jetting off to new places. CBD for travel is definitely worth looking into, whether you are a globetrotter or just need it for your weekend Uber rides.
  7. Cooking: Did you know people are now cooking with CBD? You do now. Chefs are even boasting about infusing CBD into their restaurant menus. Using a water-soluble CBD oil is your best bet when incorporating the component into your gourmet kale and quinoa dishes, veggie stir-frys or vegan cookie batter. Cooking with CBD is an excellent way to reap the health benefits of the cannabinoid if vaping or taking CBD oil on its own isn’t your thing.
  8. Headaches: Headaches aren’t just painful. They’re downright frustrating to deal with when they just won’t subside. Whether you’re experiencing a dehydration headache, a stress headache or migraine, CBD for pain in this regard is an amazing, natural way to ease that pounding in your head, and is so much safer (and more effective) than popping an Advil or 3. If you feel one coming on, rub some CBD on your temples, wait 10-15 minutes – and – headache begone. Trust us. It works.
  9. Menstrual Cramps: This one is exclusive to the ladies. Although sometimes we feel like men could certainly benefit from some menstrual mood relief. Are we right? On a serious note, women have been witnessing amazing things happen when they take CBD right before or during their periods. From painful cramps significantly subsiding to moods being noticeably uplifted, CBD is a godsend for women who experience painful periods. Again, the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD combined with its natural relaxation capabilities explains why the cannabinoid is extremely useful here.
  10. Gut Health: If you’re in tip top health shape, you probably equate yourself, and the knowledge you’ve acquired, to that of real life wellness gurus. And any wellness expert knows the root problem (and solution) with so many things lies within our guts. When our gut is inflamed, we can feel sick, anxious, mad, self-conscious, depressed, nauseated, you name it. Well, as health fanatics know the secrets to keeping your gut – and in turn – your mind and your body – happy and healthy, they may also tout CBD as the best supplement for preventing and fixing digestive issues responsible for triggering so many unwanted feelings and symptoms that come from inflammation. In addition to staying on track with eating right and consistently exercising your mind and body, taking CBD only enhances your digestive health, getting ahead of a potential issue before it has the chance to exist. CBD benefits your digestive system in many ways, keeping your internal core stable so you can be high-functioning in every other area of your life.

CBD can help anyone, no matter the current standing of their health. CBD has proven on numerous accounts to help individuals successfully manage their symptoms of pain, anxiety, depression, stress, inflammation, and more.

CBD’s health potential truly is amazing, and is looking to be the biggest breakthrough the natural medicine world has ever seen. If you are thinking about taking CBD but aren’t sure where to start, consult with your doctor to see what he/she recommends.

Takeaway CBD reminders: CBD is 100 percent safe to consume or ingest. It is non-psychoactive meaning it will not get you high, and it can only help – never hurt – anyone who is experimenting with it.

Daintri is one of the most trusted online retailers of CBD products. It carefully selects only products made by responsible producers from top-quality ingredients sourced from reputable hemp farms in the United States and Europe.

Mental Health & CBD

Can CBD Replace Antidepressants?

CBD has been gaining praise lately for its long list of medical benefits. People suffering from a variety of conditions have found relief through the use of CBD. Medical professionals and researchers suggest that CBD can be used to remedy symptoms of chornic pain, anxiety, inflammation, IBS, and more.

Formerly referred to as cannabidiol, CBD is the non-psychoactive component of the cannabis plant. Health and wellness influencers, medical professionals, scientists, and environmentalists are among a sample of the individuals who support the use of CBD.

In this post, we will discuss CBD and its potential to treat a variety of mood disorders. People suffering from depression, anxiety, or other disorders may find relief through the use of CBD. With mental health becoming more of a concern, it is important to know how CBD interacts and affects someones mental well being. It could be very possible for CBD to replace antidepressants and other traditional medication in the near future.

More people are seeking natural alternatives for just about everything in their lives. From food, to beauty products, packaging, and now possibly medication.

Helping People Naturally Is What CBD Is All About

According to Forbes, a variety of different people have been consuming CBD. The most common demographics include middle aged to senior citizens, to teenagers and even pets.

Teenagers Using CBD

Cory Gleichenhaus, a 42-year-old New Yorker, recently opened a CBD store in Delray Beach, FL, told Forbes his story on why he believes that CBD may be the best replacement for antidepressants. In addition to this, Cory stated that he thinks CBD has the ability to be a natural over the counter pain reliever, and may even replace over the counter painkillers such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen.

While visiting one of the CBD American Shaman stores in Missouri (With over 150 of these CBD stores across the country), he recalls two teenagers coming in and disclosing that they both used mood and behavior medications for the majority of their lives. Upon hearing this, Mr. Gleichenhaus suggested the use of CBD products.

One of the teenagers, a 15-year-old LaCrosse player from Las Vegas, Nevada, had been prescribed Zoloft to help reduce his anxiety; a result from the onset of his Tourette’s Syndrome. His mother weaned him off of Zoloft by replacing it with CBD. After doing so, she stated “I have never looked back.” She reported that the CBD worked much better to control her son’s Tourette’s tics, and “greatly reduced” his subsequent anxiety. Because of this, CBD allowed him to achieve a deeper REM sleep, something medical professionals associate as a result of the brain being “potentially purged of toxins.”

Seniors Using CBD

Gleichenhaus tells Forbes that his older customers coming into the CBD shop commonly seek relief from symptoms of Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease, Arthritis, and general pain that comes with old age.

Gleichenhaus states that his older customers are more skeptical when it comes to trying CBD, and frequently ask common questions regarding CBD’s legality and chemical makeup. One of the most common misconceptions is that CBD is a cannabis product. Although it is related to the cannabis plant, CBD is typically made out of hemp, and is non-psychoactive, so it cannot produce the “high” that is associated with smoking or ingesting cannabis. In addition to this, CBD is completely legal for use, as long as the THC (tetrahydrocannabidol, the psychoactive component found in marijuana) levels in products doesn’t exceed 0.3 percent.

Cory reminisced on the time when one of his first (older) customers came into his store. She was in her late 50s and had Parkinson’s disease. Gleichenhaus recalled that when she walked in, she could not control her head because of tremors from the disease. He gave her a stronger CBD product called “Equine” (900mg water-soluble CBD) a solution originally formulated for horses, because her tremors were so severe.

By the time the woman left the store, her head was shaking slightly, but the tremors had subsided significantly, to which Gleichenhaus commented, “We all know there is growing anecdotal evidence about the efficacy of CBD, but when you see it with your own eyes, it makes a lasting impact.”

People Using CBD To Prevent Drug Addiction

Another significant portion of Gleichenhaus’ clientele are people that want to stop the use of opioids. Gleichenhaus stated that helping these patients is very important to him, because he knew someone who had died from an opioid overdose.

In addition to this, Gleichenhaus recalled when he had surgery on his knee. He told Forbes that he filed a painkiller prescription awhile back. Although these prescription may have helped reduce pain, he said that he prefers to use a CBD salve on his sore knee to provide natural pain relief instead. On this subject, he told Forbes he forwent filling a painkiller prescription awhile back when he had surgery on his knee, and instead rubbing a CBD salve on his sore knee every morning to provide pain relief.

Gleichenhaus added that a lot of patients have been ditching prescription painkillers for CBD. CBD poses as a much more natural solution for pain relief because it has very little (if any) side effects. In addition to this, CBD is non-addictive, another important factor for those with severe or chronic pain.

  • CBD has a variety of different uses, and can help with chronic pain, arthritis, inflammation, and much more
  • Research indicates that CBD may be able to replace antidepressants and traditional medication for mood and behavioral disorders.
  • CBD is non-psychoactive and will not produce the “high” that is associated with the consumption of cannabis.

CBD Found to Reduce Seizures in Dogs

CBD, more formerly regarded as cannabidiol, is the non-psychoactive component found in the cannabis plant. CBD is extracted from the hemp strain of the plant – not to be confused with the marijuana strain of the plant, and does not get you high.

People everywhere are spreading the good word on CBD’s wide-range of health benefits which include relieving pain, anxiety and inflammation, symptoms of depression, cancer, unstable moods and much, much more.

Perhaps you have heard about the super popular compound in the news, or have even tried it out for yourself. More and more people are seeing (and feeling) the amazing benefits that this insanely versatile compound is providing, which is causing researchers to dig deeper into the science of it all.

Here is a recap of a recent study showcasing how CBD is helping dogs with epilepsy.

CBD Proven To Help Dogs With Epilepsy

Recent studies from Colorado State University’s James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching hospital have found the administration of CBD to dogs with epilepsy to be highly beneficial. Researchers part of the study witnessed the consumption of CBD drastically reduced the frequency of seizures in dogs.

Dr. Stephanie McGrath conducted a trial focusing on pharmacokinetic studies (a branch of pharmacology dedicated to determining the fate of substances administered to a living organism) in dogs. Translation: The doctors tested the absorption of CBD in the dogs’ bloodstream to see how the substance affected the dogs.

Dr. McGrath concluded the epilepsy results to be very promising, finding 89 percent of dogs part of the initial clinical trials to show a reduction in the frequency of their seizures.

The team has also completed two clinical trials concerning epilepsy and osteoarthritis, and are currently waiting on the results to be revealed. McGrath and her team have also begun a much larger epilepsy study with funding backed by the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation, on the effects of CBD.

Dr. McGrath reported that “studying the effect of CBD on other canine diseases are necessary to understand what the full potential of the drug is,” following up by stating, “There is so much more to learn about CBD, and we are at the very beginning.”

Amen to that, Dr. McGrath. The more we know, the greater ability we have to help the millions of people (and pets) with their physical and mental ailments.

Energy & CBD

People search for energy in various ways. Some reach for that extra cup of coffee, while others take supplements or vitamins for that extra boost. Now, research indicates that CBD could be a great way to have natural, sustainable energy throughout the day.

One of the most important things about CBD is that is it natural. With other substances or caffinated beverages, you could be putting your health and heart at risk. Not to mention CBD can benefit consumers in multiple different ways.

A lot of people are starting to utilize CBD for its energizing effects. Everyone from professional athletes, to the common middle class worker can potentially get an energy boost through the use of CBD. When you just can’t seem to stay awake, or are having trouble focusing, it may be time to see if CBD is right for you.

Another great thing about CBD is it is non-psychoactive, so no need to worry about the “high” that is associated with the consumption of cannabis. No matter how much you take, CBD can not get you high.

Before we discuss the many ways in which CBD can give you energy, it is important to know how CBD works.

How Does CBD Work?

CBD works with our bodies Endocannabinoid System, the system responsible for regulating homeostasis and general internal body conditions. Within the endocannabinoid system are receptors (CB1 and CB2 receptors) that bind and communicate with the cannabinoids prevalent in CBD.

The cannabinoids in CBD help further activate these receptors to provide a variety of benefits. Research indicates that CBD can be utilized to treat symptoms prevalent in conditions such as anxiety, IBS, PTSD, chronic pain, and more.

Aside from being a great remedy, CBD has also been found to promote good general health and well being. CBD has been used by many as a pre-workout supplement, or as a focus boosting marvel.

CBD Gives You Energy

From espressos and herbal teas, to energy drinks and high-powered supplements, people will try everything on the market to get that extra boost of energy.

Although these products may work at first, they tend to wear off as the day goes on. This leads to even more caffeine use, or going back to that old, tired self.

CBD provides a more effective, long term solution so you can stay alert and full of energy. CBD is natural, and won’t create that “crash” that is associated with sugar highs and the fleeting effects of caffeine. This way, CBD can help you power through the rest of your shift, or that tough exercise regimen.

10 Reasons Why People Love Taking CBD for Energy

1. CBD Starts Your Day off Right

The most common start of the day usually includes a cup of coffee. Although this warm cup of coffee may provide you with some energy, it could completely wear off within the hour. The longevity of caffeine is notoriously short lived.

The crash associated with the intake of caffeine is evaporated with the use of CBD. CBD Consumers have reported feeling a longer, more sustained feeling of focus in comparison to when they were drinking coffee. Try taking your favorite CBD supplement shortly after waking up to provide your body with the energy you need for your day.

Still want that warm cup of coffee in the morning? No problem, try making your own CBD latte by stirring a water-soluable CBD oil in your coffee. This allows you to enjoy the warm taste of coffee in the morning, without the dreadful crash later.

2.CBD Aids in Focus and Productivity

In addition to this, CBD may benefit your memory. Numerous clinical trials have been conducted to see if CBD can inhibit the effects of Alzheimers disease. CBD may be an effective treatment for Alzheimer’s and memory loss due to it’s antioxidant properties. For this reason, CBD is able to prevent the increase of oxygen levels in the brain, a symptom that is very prevalent in the onset of Alzheimer’s.

4.CBD Can Improve Your Mood

CBD is a powerful antioxidant that interacts with your body’s serotonin receptors. Serotonin, also referred to as the “happy hormone,” can greatly impact your mood, social behavior, and much more.

In this way, CBD is similar to taking probiotic-rich foods such as Greek yogurt, sauerkraut, and miso soup. Overall, CBD can aid in a much more healthier digestive system and provide you with better gut health.

Having a strong metabolism is crucial to being in good health. The human metabolism is responsible for numerous functions in the body, including turning your food into energy.

Extra feelings of worry and stress can contribute to a lot of wasted energy. By aiming to reduce feelings and symptoms of anxiety, people can start to feel more confident and less stressed when living their daily lives.

CBD is paving it’s way as a great anxiolitic supplement, anxiolitic meaning that it is capable of reducing symptoms of anxiety. Many clinical trials are in progress to determine the characteristics of CBD and anxiety treatment.

However, many consumer reviews support the basis that CBD can be used to treat anxiety. Those that have tried CBD for anxiety have reported a significant decrease in panic attacks, restlessness, and fatigue.

9.CBD Can Improve Skin

Although skin doesn’t necessarily have to do much with energy, having clear and smooth skin can greatly boost a person’s confidence.
